Skipper farms is a family owned produce farm working to meet all your needs. Our variety of homegrown fruits and vegetables includes everything from melt-in-your-mouth green beans and sweet as candy cantaloupes, to several types of heirloom tomatoes, luscious strawberries, fresh-from-the-farm corn on the cob, juicy fresh peaches, and wonderful watermelons. Complementing these delicious items are other farm products such as free range eggs, honey, apple butter, apple cider,peach cider,bedding plants, and cut flowers. The Skipper family is dedicated to offering superior customer service and the highest quality products! We eat what we grow and therefore avoid the use of chemicals. With several locations in Hampton Roads, we are convenient to everyone and we aim to please! |
Fresh Red Ripe Tomatoes now available!!!!!!!!
Bedding plants begin our season in March. We offer heirloom vegetable seedlings, oriental seedlings, and many hybrid seedlings too. We tend our own greenhouses in order to provide the best selections for our area and avoid chemicals. Our homegrown asparagus, fresh strawberries, red ripe tomatoes, watermelons and cantaloupes are a few delicacies that start our market season off. Fresh juicy tree ripe peaches are now offered at our markets. Come out and visit us daily at the Virginia Beach Farmers Market location, or our farmstand at 2928 South Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake, or Chesapeake City Park on Sat mornings. Our Community Supported Agriculture ( CSA ) membership is currently accepting new members. For more information click on CSA at the left. We encourage signing up early in order to help us plan our cropping needs and avoid going on a waiting list. |

Now open daily for the 2010 season at our Virginia Beach farmers market location and our farm market on South Battlefield Blvd.. We offer fresh red ripe tomatoes,fresh sweet corn, strawberries, sweet cantaloupes and watermelons. Tree ripened peaches are now in season. Hours are from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M Mon. through Sat. and 11 am til 5 pm Sunday. |
